YOSHI

(Young Shriners Club)

YOSHI is a club that is open to all Nobles of Abdallah Shrine, age 45 or under.  Since we are a club, it still allows YOSHI members the opportunity to join a unit.  There is no membership dues,  YO-SHI does not require uniforms but we do have monogrammed sports shirts; these shirts cost approximately $30.00.

YOSHI meets on the third Tuesday of the month in the Oasis.  The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. but there is usually socializing starting around 7:00 p.m.

Our activities include: managing  the annual Easter Egg Hunt for Abdallah Shrine; working the Rodeos; annual late summer Golf Tournament and Parades with our Monkey Cage.  We also try to have less formal activities, such as picnics, outings, etc.

YO-SHI can best be described as a social organization for the younger Nobles of Abdallah and their spouses.  Our activities are always planned as social functions with our spouses and, whenever possible, our children.

YOSHI welcomes all new Nobles to Abdallah Shrine and invites all Nobles interested in YOSHI to contact one of the officers and find out what we are about then come to one of our meetings and see how much fun we have.  If YOSHI is not what  you are looking for, then look at the other units and clubs. I am sure you will find something that peaks your interest and get involved. Make your voice heard and help us help the Children.  Getting involved will also help you get to know other Nobles and increase your fun in this endeavor to help the Shrine and the Hospitals.

If you have any questions, call one of the Club Officers listed in the “Playground” newspaper which you will receive monthly.
